New Gone Fishing? New Gone Fishing.
They're calling it "Elevated Rockwell" – a new gonefishing.studio is live
Hi folks – the year is coming to an end, but we’ve still got plenty of exciting stuff cooking up over here. Most importantly this week, we relaunched the Gone Fishing site and a new look for the brand.
check it out at https://www.gonefishing.studio
At it’s heart Gone Fishing is a simple business, so I wanted to express that in the new design and strip everything back to it’s most essential form – the wordmark, the typography, and especially the copy.
After an incredibly prolific year this year (and more good work on the way), for the first time we could present a body of work that really speaks for itself. We’ve been lucky to work with some of the absolute best design studios and agencies in the biz lately, and following through on our part of bringing the websites to life left us with a visually stunning gallery there with plenty of room to grow.
Communication-wise I also felt we had a long way to go from the previous site until it felt organic to who we were as a studio from the previous site. At our size I always found it a bit ridiculous to think about things in terms of company values, unique selling propositions, etc. As a perpetually unprofessional professional, they made my skin crawl a bit and I couldn’t wait to ditch them. I’ll miss our weird little guy Lenny (illustrated by the legendary Jiro Bevis), but he’s in a better place now:
What’s left to say? – People come to us to build projects where quality development and a design eye will make an impact.
– We’re experienced in understanding how to leverage our work in order to have a positive business impact for our clients.
– Here’s a gallery of our work with a well-executed example of nearly every kind of website. Wordpress? Check. Shopify Plus Theme? Check. Headless eCommerce? Check. Multi-language? Check. Fintech Startup? Film Studio? Architecture Firm? CPG Brand? Multinational Jewelry Brand? Publicly-traded healthcare company? Check. Check. Check. Check. Check. Check.
And for additional topics, the FAQ section will act as a living repository for questions we answer to clients time after time each project.
The early feedback has been exciting collect – to quote a few that have stuck in my head: “Loving the ‘elevated Rockwell’”, “the slab revival is real, and it's beautiful”, “Looks tremendous”, and “this is HOT”.
Check it out, we’d love to hear what you think:
